The Official Gazette, in its issue No. (241), issued on October 28, 2025, published Interior Minister Resolution No. 1919 of 2025 amending some provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 31 of 1960 regarding visas.
The decision stipulated that the duration of the multiple-entry visa is limited to five years, in exchange for a fee of 700 US dollars.
The decision was based on the provisions of Law No. 9 of 1960 regarding the entry, residence, and exit of foreigners in the territories of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Minister of the Interior’s Resolution No. 31 of 1960 regarding regulating visas.
This came based on the Minister of the Interior’s Decision No. 180 of 1964 regarding the implementation of some provisions of Law No. 89 of 1960, and the Minister of the Interior’s Decision No. 380 of 2021 regarding collecting entry visa fees from citizens of all Arab countries with the exception of countries that have bilateral or regional agreements with the Arab Republic of Egypt that include mutual exemptions from visa fees, and the approval of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The first article stipulates that the text of Clause (Third) of Paragraph (A) of Article (25) of the aforementioned Ministerial Resolution No. 31 of 1960 shall be replaced with the following text: A multiple-entry visa valid for five years, allowing its holder to stay for a period not exceeding one hundred and eighty days per trip, at a value of seven hundred US dollars, including the visa fee.
Article Two also stipulates that anything that violates the provisions of this decision shall be repealed, and Article Three stipulates that this decision shall be published in the Egyptian Gazette, and shall be effective from the day following the date of its publication, in writing on 10/20/2025.
