Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Ministry of Health organized its annual national campaign, “Reassurance,” which includes a group of awareness-raising and educational programs and events directed at girls and women starting at the age of 18, in various governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The campaign aims to spread scientific knowledge about breast cancer, break the barrier of fear associated with the disease, and encourage early and periodic screening, which contributes to controlling the disease and reducing its complications. The campaign includes awareness-raising activities on various platforms, which contributes to enhancing the spread and ensuring its reach to various groups.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health stressed the importance of following healthy lifestyles, including regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and abstaining from smoking, which is considered one of the most important ways to prevent chronic non-communicable diseases, especially cancer.
Every October, the Kingdom of Bahrain witnesses the holding of the annual national breast cancer awareness campaign “Ettiman”, which aims to enhance community awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection of this disease, in addition to keeping up with the latest scientific findings in the fields of diagnosis, treatment and psychological and social support for those affected.
