Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, received this morning Lieutenant General Curt Renshaw, Commander of the Naval Forces of the US Central Command and Commander of the Fifth Fleet, on the occasion of his appointment, in the presence of Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security.
The Minister welcomed Lieutenant General Kurt Renshaw, wishing him success in his new work tasks and contributing to achieving everything that serves security and peace issues in the region, praising the close and strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, and the mutual keenness to develop them in a way that supports the interests of the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, areas of security cooperation and coordination were discussed, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.
