During the talks session, the Minister praised the warm reception by Durham Constabulary, expressing his appreciation for wide -scale cooperation and training between the Ministry of Interior and Durham Police.
He emphasized the commitment to the highest professional standards for law enforcement employees, especially with employees of the Ministry of Interior benefiting from the unique experience of Durham Police in the field of forensic evidence, investigations, and command courses.
He pointed to the agreement of the two sides to discuss the proposed future cooperation fields, in addition to training programs on the latest police technology in the framework of the Ministry’s strategy aimed at raising the efficiency and capabilities of the police employees, in various areas of police work.
He expressed his confidence in the possibility of upgrading this cooperation to broader horizons, and enhancing the benefit of Durham Police’s skill and experience in all areas of law enforcement.
Among the training programs that have been completed between the two sides are the specialized training program in criminal evidence and the professional investigation program, while future aspirations include the implementation of new programs, including combating cross -border organized crime, and the application of artificial intelligence in police work.
During the meeting, Durham Constabulary provided a briefing on the police leadership and another about what the community police are doing, whether in communication with the public or work in schools, in addition to a third summary, which guarantees the initiatives that are being implemented and aimed at reducing traffic accidents.
