Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated the Egyptian wrestling team delegation via video conference technology, upon their arrival at Hurghada International Airport, after winning two gold and bronze medals in one of the important international tournaments.
In his speech during the call, the Minister of Youth and Sports affirmed his pride in the honorable performance provided by the team’s champions and a new achievement added to the record of Egyptian sports, noting that this superiority embodies the spirit of resolve and persistence among the players, and reflects the great development witnessed by Egyptian sports in various games.
The minister said: We are always keen to support our champions in all games, and provide them with all aspects of care, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, towards empowering Egyptian youth and refining their sporting abilities to compete at the highest international levels.
He added: What the wrestling champions are achieving today is the result of integrated systemic work between the Ministry and the Egyptian Wrestling Federation, and an extension of our approach to discovering talented people and supporting them to reach the podium and raise the Egyptian flag in international forums.
The Minister of Youth and Sports directed the organization of a ceremony for the wrestling champions in the Youth City in Hurghada.
The reception ceremony at Hurghada International Airport was witnessed by Dr. Tamer Abdel Azim, Director General of the General Administration of Sports Talent Programs at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Brigadier Saeed Salah, President of the Egyptian Wrestling Federation, Mr. Farag Abdel Maqsoud, Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate in the Red Sea Governorate, and Mr. Mamdouh, Undersecretary of Sports in the Directorate.
