The activities of the third joint exercise of the countries of the International Security Coalition, hosted by the Ministry of Interior, concluded today, in the presence of Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, and Lt. General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
The first field exercise, organized by the International Security Alliance over a period of 3 days, aims to enhance cooperation and exchange knowledge and experiences between the security agencies of the coalition countries, and learn about the best security practices followed and modern methods in dealing with crimes and internal security operations. It included workshops and training seminars, investigation, reasoning and data analysis work, in addition to training on the system of command, control and joint planning to confront cross-border crimes, with 9 countries participating in it: Bahrain, the Emirates, Morocco, Senegal, France, Spain, Singapore, Italy, Slovakia” and representatives of law enforcement agencies, specialized tactical and technical teams, rapid intervention units, aviation, communications and media.
The Minister of Interior welcomed the visit of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, to the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the pioneering role that His Highness has played since his establishment of the international security coalition, which works to confront organized and cross-border crime in its various forms, and to develop ways to prevent it. He expressed his thanks and appreciation for His Highness’s keenness to follow up on the stages of the exercise, which is considered a reflection of the importance he attaches to the exercise and its hypotheses. Security, which was designed and implemented with advanced readiness, praising the various organizational and technical capabilities provided by the sister United Arab Emirates, in cooperation with the security coalition countries, which played a fundamental role in achieving the goals of confronting common threats, expressing his praise for the advanced capabilities, good preparedness, and high efficiency demonstrated by the participating groups, and the professional security performance they provided.
The Minister of the Interior stressed that the third joint exercise of the countries of the International Security Alliance constitutes a pioneering shift in the path of the security alliance, and reflects the extent of solidarity in performing security duties and tasks at the international level, and increases their capabilities to deal effectively with the challenges and rapid changes that have occurred in the regional environment, especially with regard to combating organized and cross-border crimes and other dangerous crimes, adding that field work on the ground is one of the best ways to harmonize and develop joint work, noting the outstanding security success of the exercise activities. And its course, to which the participating countries contributed to its appearance in an honorable manner,” pointing out that unifying international efforts contributes to achieving exceptional security achievements in the field of combating crime in all its forms.
The Minister of Interior expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the technical, administrative and organizational work teams, and everyone who participated in the success of the exercise, and for the determination and cooperation shown by the security coalition members during all stages of the exercise, which yesterday was a theoretical planning, and today has become a practical field reality.
Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, arrived this afternoon in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where His Highness was received by His Highness Lieutenant General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and a number of senior officials in the ministry.
