Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received this morning Dr. Muhammad Asif Islam, Advisor to the Ministry of Expatriates and Foreign Workers Affairs in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, in the presence of Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Bangladeshi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister welcomed the visit of the Advisor to the Ministry of Expatriates and Overseas Workers Affairs in Bangladesh and members of the accompanying delegation, noting that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to support and care for expatriate workers, in accordance with established legal procedures, within the framework of enhancing a safe and healthy work environment and supporting workers’ rights, pointing in this field to the international achievement achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain by maintaining its position in the first category for combating trafficking in persons for the year.
