Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, this morning made a field visit to Alexandria Governorate, and was received by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria; And that is within the framework of the field tours undertaken by the minister to follow up the progress of the educational process in various governorates, to open a number of educational facilities, to determine the regularity of schools in the new academic year, and see the efforts made to develop educational infrastructure.
Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education, and the team, Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria, opened the martyr Secretary of Mohamed Sobhi Ibrahim, the official language of the Languages of the Montazah Thani Educational Administration, which includes 1740 male and female students, and includes 42 semesters and advanced factories for science and computer, as well as a library equipped with modern educational references and means.
The Minister of Education opens a number of new educational projects in Alexandria
The minister and the governor inspected a number of school classes, as he was keen to interact with students in the classes, as Minister Mohamed Abdel -Latif spoke with first secondary school students about the subject of programming and artificial intelligence that was recently included in the curricula, explaining that the teaching of this subject comes within the framework of the state’s direction towards developing digital skills for students and preparing them for future jobs, describing it as “the next modern language for the world”
The Minister pointed out that the programming platform and artificial intelligence launched by the Ministry in cooperation with the Japanese side allows students to learn modern technological skills in an interactive manner, and the student after passing the program obtains an international certificate from Japan, which enhances their opportunities to compete in the labor market locally and internationally.
The Minister also had a dialogue with the students that transformed the Egyptian baccalaureate system, explaining that it allows students to choose between several academic and practical paths, with multiple exam opportunities, which reduces the burden on the student and the guardian.
After that, the Minister of Education and the Governor of Alexandria visited the International National School, where they inspected a number of classes in the school.
While inspecting the classes of the fourth and sixth grades during the Arabic language class, the Minister was keen to see students’ brochures, and to follow up the application of curricula and mechanisms for integrating technology in the educational process.
During the visit, Minister Mohamed Abdel -Latif expressed his happiness to visit Alexandria and follow up on the progress of work in its schools, stressing that this visit comes within the framework of regular field follow -up to the governorates, to determine the needs of the field and support schools in various technical and administrative aspects.
The Minister stressed that the opening of new educational projects reflects the state’s commitment to upgrading the quality of education and providing a modern and safe educational environment for students, praising the support of Alexandria Governorate and its leaders to the educational system, and the efforts of workers in the educational field who are making everything in their power to make the educational process successful and achieving its goals.
For his part; The Governor of Alexandria welcomed the opening and inspection of the minister for a number of schools in Alexandria; Pointing out that this visit confirms the state’s keenness in all its apparatus to follow up on the advancement of the educational system to achieve the good for our student children, stressing that the governorate is working to harness all the available capabilities to support students, as the establishment of nearly 43 new schools has been completed during the current year to reduce student density in the classes, which contributes to improving the educational environment and providing a suitable academic climate for our students.
This came in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Al -Muhammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow -up and the supervisor of the Central Administration for Minister Office Affairs, Major General Ahmed Habib, Secretary General of Alexandria Governorate, and Dr. Arabi Abu Zaid, Director of the Education Directorate in Alexandria Governorate.
