The Minister of Education discusses with the head of the Egyptian Future Agency for Sustainable Development updating curricula and linking them to projects

Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received Dr. Bahaa Al-Ghannam, President of Egypt’s Future Agency for Sustainable Development, to discuss mechanisms for implementing joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of developing technical education, especially agricultural and vocational education.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to move forward in implementing the joint cooperation discussed, explaining that cooperation with the Egyptian Future Agency represents a practical model for integration between state institutions in order to prepare a technical graduate capable of keeping pace with the needs of the labor market, and possessing modern technical and agricultural skills.

The Minister indicated that the Ministry is working to develop the technical education system by modernizing curricula and linking them to major national and development projects, praising the role of the Egyptian Future Agency in supporting the national economy and developing youth capabilities through its giant projects.

For his part, Dr. Bahaa Al-Ghannam expressed his happiness with this fruitful meeting, stressing that the agency welcomes expanding areas of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in light of the presidential directives towards strengthening technical and applied education, and providing real training opportunities for students within work and production sites.

He explained that cooperation with the ministry will contribute to preparing a new generation of qualified technicians, capable of working in various productive, agricultural and industrial sectors, in line with the state’s plans for sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
