Within the framework of the established historical relations and the deep brotherly ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is always the patronage and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Great Country, and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Executive Committee emanating from the Bahraini Saudi Coordination Council, which is chaired by both His Royal Highness Prince Salman The ministers, and his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are their periodic meeting today in the presence of two delegations from the two brotherly countries.
The delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain was represented by Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Hamad bin Faisal Al -Maliki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs.
While the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan, and the accompanying delegation, expressing pride in what brings together the two countries and the two brotherly people The ministers, and the continuous care and support they give to the march of this council and its ambitious aspirations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bahraini -Saudi Coordination Council, as evidence of the mutual desire and serious commitment to continue to enhance cooperation, coordination and bilateral integration at all levels, noting the great progress that has been achieved in various areas of joint cooperation, thanks to the continuous follow -up and continuous support from the Royal Highness the head of the council, and the distinguished efforts made by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud to enhance joint cooperation, He pushed work paths and bilateral initiatives towards wider horizons from the fruitful partnership, praising the continuous diplomatic efforts made by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the high initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security, stability and prosperity, regionally and globally.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also praised the efforts of the joint committees, their valued heads, and the specialized work teams in following up the implementation of initiatives, projects, agreements and joint understanding notes, to ensure the achievement of the desired goals in promoting and consolidating joint cooperation between the two countries in all vital areas.
For his part, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud explained that the Coordination Council and its emanating committees have proven their effectiveness through the Foundation and Development of joint action in order to deepen cooperation and enhance integration between the two countries in various fields to serve common interests, and contributes to deepening brotherhood ties, and reflects the interest of the two countries towards pushing inter -relations to new horizons that achieve ambitious visions to develop the two kingdoms and their peoples The two brothers.
His Highness said that the positive results that were achieved through the course of the work of the committees emanating from the council, and the progress made, confirm the determination of the two countries to move forward towards achieving the targets that achieve common interests and enhance development in all fields. He pointed out that the volume of commercial exchange witnessed a remarkable improvement, as it increased from $ 11.5 billion during the year 2023 to 12.9 billion dollars by the end of the year 2024 AD.
He added that in the field of investment, the Saudi Bahraini Investment Company was established in November 2022 under the guidance of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Investment Fund in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the company aims to discuss investment opportunities in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, and the development of investments in the areas of communications, the banking sector, and expansion in the field of Energy generation and water desalination, as well as mining construction and industries.
His Highness said that in the field of development projects, the Saudi Fund for Development is implementing and financing development projects in several sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain amounting to 10 billion and 998 million Saudi riyals, including the education, housing, sports, energy, water, health, development, and roads sector.
The Executive Committee reviewed the annual performance report of the committees emanating from the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council for the year 2024-2025, and it was seen on a visual presentation that included the follow-up and measurement of the performance of the joint targets and initiatives between the two countries, and the results of the performance of the competent authorities during the implementation of their targets and joint initiatives.
The committee approved the time plan for the work of the council and its committees emanating during the years 2025-2026, to be renewed every year, and to direct the heads of the committees emanating from the council to work to complete the implementation of the agreed initiatives. The Committee also approved the visual identity of the Bahraini -Saudi Coordination Council, as well as the adoption of the initiatives developed for the committees emanating from the council and notifying the committees to start implementing them.
The two sides praised the good efforts made by the sub -coordination council committees and their work teams on both sides, and the tasks they accomplished in favor of strengthening bilateral cooperation and upgrading it to the desired level, and stressed the importance of continuing to work at the same pace to achieve the goals and aspirations of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
At the end of the meeting, the minutes of the Executive Committee meeting were signed by the Chairman of the Committee.
