This morning, Dr. Safwat Jareh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Luxor, inspected the activities of implementing the evaluation of the National Program for Developing Arabic Language Skills for Primary School Students, at Al-Rawafaa Joint Primary Schools and Nag Al-Sheikh Joint Primary Schools, in the Bayadiya Educational Administration.
The program is implemented in 75 schools
This follow-up comes in implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and under the patronage of Eng. Abdel Muttalib Emara, Governor of Luxor, within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to improve the reading and writing skills of primary school students and improve learning outcomes.
Joint cooperation between the Ministry and UNICEF
The program is implemented in cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and UNICEF, under the slogan “Every child has the right to learn to read and write.” It targets students in the third to sixth grades of primary school, with a training period extending to 60 hours during the months of November and December, with the aim of developing the students’ linguistic abilities and their expressive skills.
Check out classes and a social education workshop
During the tour, the Undersecretary inspected the classrooms, including kindergarten classrooms, praising the level of discipline and the efforts made by educational departments and teachers to create an educational environment that is attractive and motivating for learning.
Jareh also followed the work of a social education workshop headed by Rifai Sayed Ahmed at Abu Al-Hajjaj Primary School, Luxor Educational Administration, which targeted officials of the administration’s student unions to discuss mechanisms for activating educational activities and the ideal student competition, stressing the importance of developing the spirit of leadership and belonging among students.
