In a festive atmosphere filled with the spirit of sports brotherhood, the Bahrain Judo Federation celebrated the heads of delegations and federations participating in the judo competitions within the Third Asian Youth Games “Bahrain 2025”, in the presence of the Vice President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council and President of the Bahrain Judo Federation, Dr. Faisal Khalid Kanoo, President of the Asian Judo Federation and Vice President of the International Federation, Major General Ret. Obaid Zayed Al-Anazi, along with a number of local and Asian sports figures.
The ceremony, which was held at The K Hotel, witnessed the presence of the heads of delegations and national federations, the heads of the committees working in the Asian Judo competition, the Executive Director of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, Mr. Jaafar Ali Bin Jaafar, the Executive Director of The K Group, Mr. Hussein Al-Samahiji, and members of the Bahrain Judo Federation.
The Vice President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council and President of the Bahrain Judo Federation, Dr. Faisal Khaled Kanoo to everyone, expressing his pride in the Kingdom of Bahrain hosting the third Asian Youth Games, and expressing his happiness at the presence of a group of sports leaders who contribute to supporting and developing the sport of judo at various levels.
Dr. confirmed. Faisal Kanoo said in his speech that Bahrain’s hosting of judo competitions in this tournament represents a qualitative addition to the Bahraini sports career, and confirms the Asian and international confidence that the Kingdom enjoys in its organizational ability and high professionalism, praising at the same time the great efforts made by the Asian Judo Federation, headed by Major General Obaid Zayed Al-Anazi, in developing the game and expanding the base of its practitioners on the Asian continent through programs and continuous support for the national federations.
Kanoo said: “We are pleased to celebrate today this distinguished elite of the game’s leaders on the continent, whose presence represents great moral support for the continental event held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We at the Bahrain Judo Federation confirm that we will continue to work with the Asian and International Federations to enhance the game’s progress and provide an ideal environment for its growth and development in our region.”
During the ceremony, Major General Obaid Zayed Al-Anazi was honored in appreciation of his prominent role and continuous efforts in serving the sport of judo, Asian and international, and the Bahrain Judo Federation also honored a number of heads of delegations and committees working in the third Asian Youth Judo Competition, who expressed their thanks and gratitude for the warm reception and distinguished organization they had witnessed since their arrival in the Kingdom.
For his part, the President of the Asian Judo Federation and Vice President of the International Federation, Major General Ret. Obaid Zayed Al-Anazi, expressed his thanks and pride in the honor, praising the level of organization and hosting provided by the Bahrain Judo Federation, stressing that what he saw in Bahrain reflects the great interest that the Kingdom attaches to developing sports and supporting youth, which contributes to the success of such major continental championships.
The ceremony concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and gifts, and taking group photos that brought together the participating sports leaders, in an atmosphere of friendliness and appreciation, to once again consolidate Bahrain’s position as a leading sports destination in hosting and organizing continental and international events with success and distinction.
