The Executive Committee of the International Sports Media Club announced that Dr Ashraf SobhiMinister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt, honorary presidency of the club, in appreciation of its great support and continuous efforts in sponsoring and developing sports media, and its keenness to strengthen regional and international partnerships in this field.

This came during the club’s Executive Committee meeting recently hosted in Cairo, where the committee members expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Minister for his distinguished support and generous hosting of the international club’s meetings, which contributed to the success of the meeting’s activities and its outcome in an honorable manner that reflects Egypt’s leading position in hosting major sporting and media events.
The Executive Committee praised Dr. Ashraf Sobhi’s special interest in developing the sports media system and supporting its various institutions, noting that one of the most prominent forms of this support was the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports’ hosting of two international forums for the International Sports Media Club in 2019 and 2023, which achieved resounding success and constituted a distinguished model for organization and media interaction at the Arab and international levels.
The committee confirmed that granting the honorary presidency to the minister comes as an embodiment of the close relations between the international club and the Egyptian sports media, and to consolidate the values of cooperation and partnership between the institutions supporting the sports media process at the Arab and international levels.
