The International Dispute Settlement Council in the Kingdom of Bahrain hosts the first version of the “Dialogue episode” in the Hawar Islands, with the participation of 14 prominent figures in the field of arbitration from multiple judicial systems that include London, Singapore, Paris, Nigeria, India and Hong Kong, in order to reconsider the basic principles of arbitration and its development, in confirmation of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance international cooperation and set future standards in the arbitration society.

The assembly focuses on thinking about the founding standards of arbitration and its renewal, inspired by the principles of the British Royal Institute of Addned Arbitrators (CIARB) in London. A “dialogue episode” also discusses over three days the practical challenges in this field, in a way that supports the exchange of experiences and cooperation to define and refine the principles that support the settlement of disputes in a decisive and effective way. It is planned to undergo “the principles of dialogue” that will be developed to a six -month review period.

The episode of its existence is inspired by the prominent historical gatherings that formed the international arbitration path, especially the “Le Cervie de Chambésy” meeting in Geneva in 1961, which led to the formation of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration. (ICCA).
