The Arabic Language Academy in Cairo continues its cultural activities and begins its cultural season for the new assembly session with a symposium on the role of private linguistic associations in protecting the Arabic language, to which it invites researchers and scholars in the field of the Arabic language, and all those interested in protecting the Arabic language.

The symposium will be opened by Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid Madkour, Secretary General of the Academy, and moderated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Abd, a member of the Academy. He will speak about the national linguistic societies: Prof. Dr. Hafez Shams El-Din, representing the Arabic Language Association, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Hamlawi, representing the Language Engineering Association and the Arabization of Science Association, and Professor Fawzi Taj Al-Din, representing the Lisan Al-Arab Association.
The symposium will be held at the headquarters of the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo, 15 Aziz Abaza Street – Zamalek, at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, October 27, 2025 AD.
Earlier, the academy’s official page on the social networking site Facebook was hacked, and inappropriate pictures were published via the “Story” feature, after which legal measures were taken by Dr. Mustafa Abdel Mawla, the media official for the Arabic Language Academy in Cairo, and the page was restored again.
