Today, Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, held the weekly public meeting at the headquarters of the governorate’s general office, which is held on Tuesday every week, as part of his continued keenness to enhance direct communication with citizens. The meeting was attended by a number of deputy ministries, heads of service directorates, and representatives of the relevant executive authorities.

During the meeting, the governor listened to many complaints and various requests from citizens from various centers, cities and villages of the governorate, which included providing job opportunities, treatment at state expense, obtaining social assistance, and “solidarity and dignity” pensions, in addition to special requests for licensing kiosks, supporting people with disabilities, and facilitating reconciliation procedures for building violations.
Siraj stressed the governorate’s keenness to respond immediately to citizens’ demands, as many requests were responded to during the meeting, while some cases were referred to the competent authorities for study and necessary measures to be taken.
The governor indicated that responding to the needs of citizens is at the top of the priorities of the executive branch, stressing the importance of dealing immediately with referred complaints, and coordinating with the competent authorities to study them and take the necessary measures regarding them, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, and the state’s interest in improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
