The Egyptian handball team, born in 2008, completed its preparations to participate in the World Championship competitions in Morocco scheduled to be held during the month of October, by achieving a well-deserved victory over the first team of the National Bank with a score of 32/29 in the friendly match that brought together the two teams in Alexandria.

This victory brings the team to the end of its strong preparatory program, which the Egyptian Handball Federation, headed by Khaled Fathi, was keen to implement carefully, as it included a series of international and local matches aimed at raising the players’ efficiency and preparing them for an honorable appearance in the World Cup.
During the preparation period, the Egyptian national team participated in the Mediterranean Championship and succeeded in winning the bronze medal, before playing a number of friendly international matches against the teams of Spain, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, America and Algeria. Then, it completed its program with strong matches against professional Premier League clubs such as Sporting, Smouha and the National Bank, which showed the great development in the level of the young players.
Khaled Fathi, President of the Federation, Amr Fathi, Member of the Board of Directors, and Moamen Safa, Sports Director of the Federation, were keen to accompany the team in Alexandria, in support of the team and in order to raise the morale of the players before traveling to Morocco.
The technical staff and players hope to achieve positive results during the World Championship, and to complete the series of successes achieved by Egyptian handball at various age levels.
