Dr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with Major General Essam Omar, Deputy Governor of North Sinai, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation, and the actual needs of the governorate in developing hospitals and health units that are being established or developed.

This comes within the framework of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to improve the health services system nationwide and ensure access to integrated, high-quality medical services for all citizens.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, indicated that during the meeting, the plan to develop and raise the efficiency of health facilities in North Sinai Governorate was reviewed, and implementation rates in ongoing projects were discussed, and mechanisms for overcoming obstacles that may face work, in a way that ensures improving the infrastructure of the health sector and sustaining the provision of high-quality medical services to citizens.
He added that the meeting discussed proposals to support the medical and administrative manpower in the governorate, and provide the necessary equipment and supplies to operate the new hospitals upon their completion, in addition to discussing ways to enhance communication between the executive levels in the governorate and the Ministry of Health, to ensure rapid response to the needs of the people and improve the level of health care provided to them.
Abdel Ghaffar added that, after the meeting, the Deputy Minister inspected the Al-Sabeel Buildings clinics designated for the Palestinian brothers in the city of Al-Arish, where he was assured of the regularity of work, the availability of medicines and medical supplies, and the level of providing therapeutic services to patients, and directed the necessity of continuing daily follow-up to ensure the optimal provision of health care.
The official spokesman continued that the Deputy Minister continued his visit by inspecting the Al-Ittihad Club clinic in the city of Al-Arish, where he was assured of the regularity of work inside the clinic, and ensured the availability of medicines and medical supplies and the readiness of the equipment, as well as the availability of manpower from doctors, nurses and technicians to provide health care to citizens and ensure the continuity of service provision without interruption, stressing the importance of continuing daily follow-up and applying quality standards to ensure the provision of services. Integrated and safe medical services for citizens and siblings residing in the governorate.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Peter Wagih, Assistant Minister for Curative Medicine, Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Assistant Minister for National Projects, Dr. Amr Adel, Director of the North Sinai Health Affairs Directorate, Dr. Ahmed Rizk, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, Dr. Mohamed Al-Sadafi, Head of the Central Administration for Urgent Care, Dr. Rasha El-Sharqawi, Head of the Central Administration for Strategic Management, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hakim, Head of the Central Administration for Curative Care, Dr. Ramadan, for Financial and Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Omar, Director of the General Department of Internal Audit and Governance.
