Bishop Jeremiah, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, and the family of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center offered their sincere condolences to His Eminence Bishop Basilius, Bishop and Head of the Monastery of Saint Bishop Samuel the Confessor of Mount Qalamoun, and to the assembly of monks of the monastery, on the death of the blessed father, the hegomen monk Pachomius Samuel.

On the other hand, the Coptic Orthodox Church said that there is a person who claims that his name is Pastor Boulos Faragallah. He also claims that he is a priest and head of the churches of the Cathedral of Saint Mary, and he wears a uniform similar to the uniform known to the priests of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
The church continued in a statement: This person has a page on the social networking site Facebook through which he speaks in his capacity as a priest, and wears the aforementioned uniform.
She continued: To avoid confusion among the members of the church, we warn all of our children against dealing with him as a Coptic priest, and we take this opportunity to stress to everyone the necessity of verifying the identity of any person wearing the priestly garb at all levels before engaging in dealing with him.
