The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities has launched an open invitation for artists to participate in the fourth edition of the “Inspired by a Book” exhibition, which is held in cooperation with the “We All Read” Association.
This invitation includes joining interactive workshops under the supervision of the visual artist Areej Rajab, which will be held over a period of four days at the artist’s studio and gallery in the Sahla area – Jablat Habashi, on Saturdays, October 18 and 25, and November 1 and 8, 2025.
The exhibition consists of the product of the experience of a group of artists, whose works shed light on the philosophical aspect of the characters and events included in the novelist “The Coat and the Nose” by the Russian writer and novelist Nikolai Gogol. This work is part of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities’ joint publications with the Arab Foundation for Studies and Publishing, and was translated into Arabic by Dr. Mohammed Al-Khuzaie.
The Arts Center of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is scheduled to host the “Inspired by a Book” exhibition on November 10.
It is worth noting that the “Inspired by a Book” exhibition represents a creative approach that combines literature and visual arts, where the characters and events of one of the selected literary novels are revived and transformed into innovative artistic works that reflect the spirit of the text and highlight its aesthetics in a unique way. The exhibition aims to provide a rich experience that combines imagination and literature, and opens new horizons for the interaction between word and image.
