The activities of the fifth season of the “Al -Azhar minaret for Arabic poetry” for the year 2025, organized by the Center for Development of Expatriate and Foreign Student Education in Al -Azhar, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb Sheikh Al -Azhar and the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al -Dawini, the agent of Al -Azhar, and the executive supervision of Dr. Nahla Al -Saidi, advisor to Sheikh Al -Azhar for expatriate affairs and the head of the center, where the subject of the competition was devoted to choosing the best five vertical poems organized in the Arabic language Al -Fusha about the Palestinian issue, as the issue of every Muslim, Arab and fair around the world.
The continued receiving requests for submission in the activities of the fifth season of the “Al -Azhar minaret competition for Arabic poetry” until October 30, 2025
The Center announced the opening of the door for participation for creators and those interested in the Arabic language from all over the world, including expatriate students enrolled in the Poetry School at the Academy of Talents and Capacity, and students of Al -Azhar in the stages of pre -university education and university education, students of the Arabic language and legal sciences in international institutions, as well as workers in Al -Azhar and its various sectors, poets, writers and talented people from Egypt and abroad.
The competition requires that the poem be written in the classical Arabic language and from the pattern of vertical poetry, and that it be authentic and produced by the participating poet, and that the number of its verses should not be less than 30 houses and does not exceed 50 houses, taking into account the controls of the Arabic language, the rules of presentations and rhyme. An audio recording must also be sent to throw the poem, along with a phone number for communication, and join the official WhatsApp group to follow up on the announcement of the results and the date for delivering the prizes.
The door for sending posts is closed on Thursday, October 30, 2025, with the names of the winners to be announced on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and they will be honored in a major celebration held at Al -Azhar Convention Center.
The prizes include certificates of thanks and appreciation from the virtue of the Grand Imam for the first five, and financial prizes of up to 40 thousand pounds for the first winner with the “Al -Azhar minaret” shield, 35 thousand pounds for the second winner, 30 thousand pounds for the third winner, 25 thousand pounds for the fourth winner, and 20 thousand pounds for the fifth winner. Five promotional bonuses were allocated to expatriate students participating in the competition, each with a value of 5 thousand pounds, in addition to a certificate of appreciation from the head of the Department of Expatriate and Foreign Student Education Center.
