
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the Coast Guard Command carried out a joint inspection campaign on a number of diving shops, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, as part of joint efforts to enhance maritime security and safety, and to ensure that facilities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
The Coast Guard leadership explained that the campaign aimed to ensure the validity of legal licenses and that equipment conforms to safety standards, in addition to verifying the employment conditions and official permits of workers, in order to ensure a regular and safe work environment.
The command confirmed that the implementation of these joint campaigns comes within the framework of cooperation and integration between various security and regulatory authorities, with the aim of raising the level of compliance with legal requirements and enhancing maritime safety, noting that the necessary legal measures have been taken regarding the violations that were monitored.
