The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Handball Federation takes decisions aimed at developing the game and enhancing its position in the local and international sports arena. The Federation seeks to improve the technical and physical performance of players by organizing workshops and advanced training courses, in addition to developing the infrastructure of stadiums and providing the latest sports equipment, which contributes to raising the level of competition and enhances the chances of the national team to achieve new achievements in the upcoming tournaments. This approach reflects the Federation’s commitment to providing an ideal sports environment that contributes to Developing handball in Egypt and achieving the goals of Sports Vision 2030.
Important decisions from the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Handball Federation
The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Handball Federation met under the chairmanship of Captain Khaled Fathi, and in the presence of Captain Khaled Diwan, Vice President, and Board members Amr Fathi, Abeer Aqeel, Mohamed Gamal Halayel, Khaled Saleh, and Amr El Adl, where a set of important decisions were taken that aim to enhance development and continue achievements in the game. This was represented by the call to hold an ordinary general assembly to approve the budget and the auditor’s report on Thursday, December 4th. A decision to reduce the penalties imposed in previous seasons by 50%, in a move aimed at opening a new page and giving a second chance to everyone.
Strengthening beach handball programs and developing juniors
The Board of Directors approved the beach handball program, where it was confirmed that Captain Wael Abdel Ati will continue to lead the team in preparation for the 2026 World Championship, with an effort to host it in Egypt. The Federation’s Sports Director, Captain Moamen Safa and Captain Tariq Mahrous, were also assigned to prepare a project to develop the buddies and juniors, in addition to laying the nucleus of the national project for goalkeepers that aims to support and nurture talent to serve the national teams.
Restructuring the medical committee and supporting the national team
In the context of improving sports performance, the medical committee was reconstituted, with cardiologist Dr. Yasser Abdel Rahman assuming the chairmanship of the committee, with Dr. Ahmed Abdel Tawab joining as a member. Amr El Adl was also assigned to head the delegation of the first men’s team in the two Portuguese valleys, and the foundations book for the next season was approved, with the start of printing of the book after the technical amendments that were approved. Finally, a decision was made for Captain Khaled Fathi, president of the federation, to travel to Morocco to support the national team. 2008 in the World Championship, within the framework of strengthening team spirit and supporting youth.
With these decisions, the Egyptian Handball Federation seeks to strengthen the sport of handball in Egypt, and achieve more local and international achievements, which contributes to developing the game and attracting more talent.
