Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation, received at the embassy headquarters a delegation from the Bahraini Deaf Society, on the occasion of the Society’s winning of the largest awards at the Gesture Region International Theater Festival, which was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, for its distinguished presentation of the play “The Stolen Voice,” with the participation of a group of artists belonging to the Countryside Theater.
The Ambassador praised this distinguished Bahraini cultural achievement at the global level, which is added to the series of successes achieved by the Kingdom in international forums, stressing that this victory reflects the creative and youthful energies that Bahrain abounds, capable of representing the Kingdom in the most prestigious international platforms, wishing the team further distinction and success in their work and future participations.
The association won the Best Animated Show Award for the play The Stolen Voice, and the Best Direction Award for director Aqeel Al Majid for all participating categories. It also received several international nominations within the competitions, including Best Theatrical Team, Best Actor in a Leading Role by Taher Muhammad, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role by Sayed Issa Al-Wadaei.
