The afforestation event, which was held at the association’s headquarters in the diplomatic area, was supervised by Dr. Niloufer Jahromi, head of the agricultural environmental team and head of the association’s youth and youth committee, where she led volunteers in planting a group of seedlings, emphasizing the role of youth volunteer work in supporting environmental and humanitarian issues.

On this occasion, Mubarak Al Hadi, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society, stressed that the Society places the environmental aspect at the heart of its relief and humanitarian priorities, and said, “Afforestation initiatives are not just agricultural work, but rather an integral part of our humanitarian work. A healthy environment is the basis of a decent life, and confronting climate change begins with our local efforts such as these activities. We believe that protecting the planet is protecting humans, and this is completely in line with “With the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement”?

For her part, Dr. Nilofer Jahromi said, “Environmental degradation and climate disasters have become among the most serious challenges threatening communities, especially vulnerable groups. Therefore, our efforts in afforestation and environmental awareness represent a practical step to reduce these risks and enhance community resilience in the face of future environmental challenges.”
