The official tests of the Saudi Aramco Formula 4 Championship were concluded today at the Bahrain International Circuit, as part of preparations for the start of the new season. The first and second official tests witnessed an enthusiastic atmosphere and high concentration amid careful technical follow-up from the participating teams, as driver Jacob Micallef from the Zahid team was able to record the fastest time, which amounted to 2 minutes, 8 seconds and 238 parts of a second, and recorded the highest average speed of 151.9 km/h, ahead by 0.004 of a second, over the second place driver, Scott Kit Lindblom from the Red Bull team, while the driver came Thibaut Ramakers from Zahid Team is in third place.
In the second tests, driver Theo Palmer from the Jaco team was able to record the fastest time, which was 2 minutes, 7 seconds and 613 hundredths of a second, with an average speed of 152.6 km/h, 0.002 seconds ahead of the second-place driver, Kit Pulovsky, from the Peaks team, while driver Adam Al-Zahrani from the Valvoline team came in third place.
These tests are an important step in the preparation program for the new season, as the teams work to evaluate the performance of their Tatuus F4-T421 second generation cars, and adjust the technical settings to reach the highest levels of readiness before the start of the official competitions. The opening round of the Saudi Aramco Formula 4 Championship begins tomorrow at the Bahrain International Circuit, followed by the second round at the same circuit on October 15-16. After that, the competitions move to the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the fastest street circuit in the world, which will host the third round on November 10-11, followed by the fourth round during the period from November 14-15, and the championship concludes with the fifth and final round on Jeddah Corniche Circuit on December 5th – 6th.
