The Shubra El-Kheima Criminal Court in Qalyubia Governorate, Second Circuit, sentenced an unemployed man to 6 years in prison, and fined him 100,000 pounds, after convicting him of trafficking in narcotic substances in the Shubra El-Kheima First District.
The ruling was issued under the chairmanship of Counselor Ayman Afifi Salem, with the membership of Counselors Abdulaziz Ali Mahmoud, Sherine Salah Hamdi, Mahmoud Abu Al-Yazid Jaballah, and the secretariat of Hani Khattab.
The aggravated imprisonment of 6 years for an unemployed person on charges of trafficking in narcotic substances in Shubra El Kheima
The details of the case go back to the Public Prosecution’s referral of the accused, Abdul Sabour N. A. A., 24 years old, resident of Al-Khatib Street in Badr City Residential District, First District of Shubra El-Kheima, to the Criminal Court for Felony No. 10085 of 2025, First Shubra El-Kheima, registered under No. 1827 of 2025, all of South Banha.
The referral order stated that on April 11, 2025, at the Shubra El Kheima Police Station in Qalyubia Governorate, the accused possessed a narcotic substance (monoacetylmorphine) with the intention of trafficking, in cases other than those authorized by law.
After discussing the case and hearing the arguments of the prosecution and defence, the court issued its previous ruling punishing the accused with 6 years of aggravated imprisonment and fining him 100,000 pounds.
