Today, the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries concludes its activities, which lasted for several days. Closing of the activities of the forty-first session of the Alexandria Film Festival
The activities of the forty-first session of the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries, headed by film critic Prince Abaza, will conclude at eight o’clock today evening. The closing ceremony will be held at the Antoniadis Gardens Theater in the city of Alexandria, in the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria, in addition to a large number of artists, filmmakers, critics and media professionals, which reflects the importance of the major cinematic event in the region.

The ceremony is presented by journalist Ibrahim Al-Kardani and journalist Rabab Al-Sharif, under the direction of director Mohamed Al-Samahi. The program begins with playing the Republican Anthem, followed by the screening of a documentary film reviewing the most prominent activities of the festival this year, including film screenings, seminars and artistic workshops, which witnessed wide interaction from the public and cinema lovers. Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled Hassan Saeed, Governor of Alexandria, will also deliver a speech during the ceremony, followed by a speech by the festival’s president, film critic Prince Abaza.

The ceremony will witness the honoring of the great artist Nasser Al-Mazdawi in recognition of his artistic career. After the honoring, he will perform a special song about Alexandria, celebrating the city’s heritage and beauty. The session’s activities began last Thursday, when the star of the session, artist Laila Elwi, was honored. The festival also witnessed the honoring of the State of Morocco as the guest of honor for the session, in addition to honoring a group of icons of Egyptian, Arab and international cinema, which reflects the spirit of artistic cooperation between different cultures.
