The family of the young engineer, Mohamed Zaid, 27 years old, revealed new details about his murder at the hands of one of his neighbors before his wedding, after he stabbed him with a knife due to old disputes between them, inside the village of Grace, affiliated with the Ashmoun Center in Menoufia Governorate, where the accused was arrested after committing the crime.

Amr Zaid, the victim’s brother, said in his interview with Cairo 24 that the beginning of the dispute was with him, after he was subjected to repeated harassment by the accused, and a verbal argument broke out between them that ended, but he was surprised minutes later by screaming and calling for help to find his brother drowned in his own blood, after he had received fatal stab wounds at the hands of the same neighbor with whom he had been quarreling moments before.
With eyes full of tears, the victim’s father explained that this was not the first time that the neighbor had assaulted them, pointing out that the accused had been constantly harassing them for years due to trivial neighborly disputes, including the higher level of the street in front of their house than the accused’s house, in addition to the inappropriate behavior he was performing in front of the windows in the presence of women, and his verbal violation of the sanctity of the house and his constant threats to them, saying: “I will kill them.” Your children who are so happy with them.”
The father added that the accused had previously tried to attack his son inside the mosque using a white weapon, but one of the worshipers intervened at the time and was injured instead, stressing that they had been living for some time in a state of anxiety and fear of his aggressive behavior.
For his part, the father of the victim’s fiancée spoke to Cairo 24, saying that they were preparing for the wedding in the coming months, describing the young engineer as having good manners and loved by everyone, adding with great sadness that he learned the news of his killing from his daughter, who told him while she was crying bitterly.
