TCL announced its official entry into the gaming monitor market in the United States for the first time, during the Call of Duty: NEXT event, where it revealed a new group of gaming monitors named G64, R84, and R94.
This step comes as part of the expansion of its ongoing partnership with Activision, as TCL has become the official partner for televisions, audio and gaming monitors for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
Advanced gaming experience with QD-Mini LED technology
All new TCL screens rely on QD-Mini LED technology, which combines high brightness and precise local lighting control. The company confirms that this technology provides strong contrast, deep blacks, and vibrant colors, with a lower cost than competing OLED screens.
G64 series… smooth performance and immediate response
The G64 series includes 27-inch and 32-inch QHD displays, supporting 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GTG) response time with full FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility for stutter-free gaming.
The screen’s illumination reaches 600 nits at maximum brightness, and has received TÜV certification to reduce blue light that is harmful to the eyes. TCL adds features dedicated to gamers such as an aiming indicator on the screen, displaying the frame rate in real time, and an adjustable stand to provide greater comfort during long use.
R84 series.. Luxurious design and dynamic lighting
The R84 series targets users looking for professional performance with an elegant design. This category includes a 32-inch flat screen with a 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, in addition to a 34-inch curved version with a WQHD resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate.
These screens feature HDR1400 support with 1,100 local dimming zones for perfect contrast, along with a USB-C port with Power Delivery and dual speakers with a capacity of 6 watts each. They also have a two-color design and ambient backlighting from five LED zones that add an aesthetic character while playing.
R94 series…the pinnacle of performance and smart features
As for the higher category, the R94, it is aimed at professionals and comes with 2,300 local dimming zones, and built-in support for KVM Switch technology, which allows controlling more than one device using the same keyboard and mouse. The screen also contains a retractable headphone holder and a practical design that suits advanced workstations.
The monitor uses a high-resolution QHD panel with advanced gaming features to provide a realistic and responsive experience.
Prices and availability in the markets
The TCL G64 32-inch monitor is available in the US market for a retail price of $649, but is currently being offered at Walmart for a discounted price of $449.99.
The company indicated that the 27-inch version of the same series, along with the R84 and R94 screens, will be launched during the coming period.
These announcements come at a time of increasing competition between companies in the gaming screen market, especially after LG unveiled the UltraFine evo 6K screen as the first screen in the world to support Thunderbolt 5, and MSI launched a QD-OLED screen with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a superior response time of 0.03 milliseconds.
