Syrians and MPs: The response of companies to offer jobs through the “Work” platform embodies community partnership

Syrians and representatives confirmed that the response of companies operating in Bahrain to offer job opportunities through the National Employment Platform affiliated with the Ministry of Labour, reflects a deep understanding of the challenges and a real will to transform them into opportunities, noting that this broad national response reflects the spirit of partnership and social responsibility.

Chairman of the Shura Council’s Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, Khalid Al-Maskati, confirmed that the generous initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to create more job opportunities for male and female citizens of the nation, represents a practical embodiment of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, to make the Bahraini citizen the focus and foundation of development.

He pointed out that the broad national response by national and foreign companies and institutions operating in the Kingdom reflects the spirit of partnership and social responsibility, and embodies the firm belief in the role of the private sector as a major partner in development, indicating that the response of these institutions to the initiative confirms the flexibility and integration of the Bahraini business environment with government policies that support employment and economic growth.

Al-Maskati explained that the Bahraini economy has the components that make it capable of continuing to generate diverse and innovative job opportunities, thanks to the stimulating investment environment it enjoys, supportive legislation, and a clear economic vision that places national competencies at the top of priorities. He indicated that continued constructive cooperation between the government, the legislative authority, and the private sector will remain the basic pillar for enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and creating an environment Sustainable and prosperous economy.

Meanwhile, a member of the Shura Council, Reda Faraj, confirmed that the cooperation of companies in providing jobs facilitates the process of finding the appropriate job for citizens, which increases the desire to engage in available jobs.

He explained that qualifying individuals for a variety of jobs enhances their chances of remaining in the labor market, even if they lose their jobs for any reason, which makes them ready to take on other jobs.

Faraj considered that this initiative is of mutual benefit to both parties. The job seeker can choose the most suitable one for him without having to move a lot between companies, and companies are also able to find suitable talents faster and more efficiently.

On the other hand, Chairman of the Services Committee in the House of Representatives, Jalila Al-Sayyid, appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry of Labor in implementing the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister regarding providing 3 job opportunities for every job seeker registered with the Ministry, stressing that this initiative reflects the great interest that the leadership attaches to empowering citizens and qualifying them to engage in the labor market.

She stressed the importance of the job opportunities offered being real opportunities, while ensuring the transparency of procedures, whether in displaying vacancies or in the recruitment processes themselves, so that the outcomes are realistic and tangible, and not just numbers or formal interviews.

For his part, Member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Representative Ahmed Al-Salloum, confirmed that there was tangible interaction from a number of leading national companies, which were quick to announce real job opportunities, in a gesture worthy of appreciation.

He affirmed the Chamber’s full support for implementing the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister regarding the commitment of private sector companies to provide 3 job opportunities for every job seeker registered with the Ministry of Labor before the end of this year.

He pointed out that these initiatives represent an encouraging start, and confirm that the Bahraini private sector is aware of its national responsibility, not only as a partner in economic development, but also as a partner in supporting social stability and providing a decent life for the Bahraini citizen.

Al-Salloum called on all companies, large, medium and small, to seize this initiative as an opportunity to highlight their national commitment, and to benefit from qualified and ambitious Bahraini energies, who have proven their competence in various fields.

As for the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee, Dr. Hassan Bukhammas, he noted the importance of the announcement of the Minister of Legal Affairs and the Minister of Labor for positive cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the private sector by providing the National Employment Platform affiliated with the Ministry of Labor with hundreds of vacant jobs allocated to citizens.

He pointed out that this response from the sector reflects a deep understanding of the challenges, and a real will to transform them into opportunities, by adopting practical and implementable solutions, such as the ambitious initiative to register hundreds of jobs by private companies on the national employment platform.

He said: “The response of the private sector, represented by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and leading companies, to this national trend is evidence of the maturity of the complementary relationship between the public and private sectors. Government decisions and policies achieve their effectiveness through responsible partnership.”

In turn, MP Muhammad Al-Marafi confirmed that the directive of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister received a tangible response from national companies that took the initiative to announce hundreds of job opportunities.

He stressed that this step supports the economic and social development process led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, towards achieving greater job stability and economic progress.
