
In support of the initiatives of the National Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and within the framework of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, the General Administration of Sunni Endowments participated in the “Tree Week” activities, in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts to increase the green area and achieve environmental sustainability goals.
Mr. Ahmed Khalil Khairi, Director General of the General Administration of Sunni Endowments, planted a number of trees in the Abdul Rahman bin Rashid Al Bastaki Mosque in Madinat Zayed in the Southern Governorate.
On this occasion, the Director General of the Sunni Endowments affirmed the administration’s commitment to its national role in supporting environmental initiatives, praising the initiative of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to launch Tree Week, because of its direct impact in enhancing environmental conservation efforts and achieving the goals of carbon neutrality by 2060.
