Today, Saturday, the Directorate of Social Solidarity in South Sinai organized a ceremony to hand over visas for Umrah trips to citizens of Tur Sinai, in coordination with a civil society association, in a distinctive community initiative that was well received by the community in South Sinai.
South Sinai Solidarity delivered 54 Umrah visas to a number of residents of the city of Al-Tur
Amani Metwally, the association’s official, stated that 54 Umrah visas had been delivered to eligible women.
She added that an additional Umrah visa was given to the struggling woman, Azza Ali Al-Sayyed, in special honor of her suffering and patience in raising her orphaned children, after the death of her husband, who had suffered from cancer for years.
For her part, Mrs. Azza Ali expressed her happiness, stressing that after the death of her husband she prayed to God to grant her a Umrah to visit the Sacred House of God and the Messenger of God – may God bless him and grant him peace – but she did not expect her wish, which she considered impossible, to be fulfilled in this way. She explained that the association surprised her by choosing her in the lottery for the Umrah trip.
Amani Al-Metwally confirmed that civil society organizations are striving to carry out their societal role in effective cooperation with the Social Solidarity Directorate, noting that this role is not limited to supporting Umrah trips only, but extends to including preparing brides who are unable to do so as well.
She explained that these actions are a message carried out by institutions within the framework of their keenness to create a society based on supporting the bonds of love, cooperation and compassion among all its individuals and sects.
