The delegation of the Egyptian junior national team will travel to Qatar next Saturday in preparation for participation in the World Cup. The delegation of the young Pharaohs in the tournament is headed by Dr. Walid Darwish, a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association.
Cairo 24 learned that next Monday, corresponding to October 27, has been set as the date for the friendly match that will bring together the Egyptian junior national team with its counterpart, the Qatar national team, in Doha, which will be the last rehearsal for the two teams before the start of the junior World Cup campaign.
The date for the youth team’s friendly match against its Qatari counterpart came after communication took place between officials of the Egyptian Football Association and their counterparts in the Qatari Football Association.
The technical staff of the junior national team, led by Ahmed Al Kass, announced the list of names participating in the World Cup in Qatar, scheduled to be held from 3 to 27 next November.
Walid Mahdi, the national team manager, sent the final list to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), which includes: goalkeepers Omar Abdel Aziz, Amr Adel, Mohamed Tariq, and in the defense line Hamza Al-Dajwi, Nour Ashraf, Fares Fakhri, Adham Farid, Muhannad Al-Shami, Yassin Hossam, midfielders Omar Kamal, Omar Abu Talib, Basil Medhat, Mohamed Hamad, Bilal Attia, Anas Rushdi, Ibrahim Al-Najawi, Mohamed Sobeih, Muhammad Al-Bandari, attacking line Hamza Abdel Karim, Abdel Aziz Al-Zoghbi, Ziad Ayoub
On the waiting list according to the International Federation’s regulations are Ammar Muhammad Al-Sayyid and Saif Al-Jabali.
The Egyptian national team was placed in the fifth group, which includes Haiti, Venezuela and England alongside it.
