Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, said that the National University affiliated with Helwan University has witnessed significant growth since its launch, as it began with a limited number of students amounting to only 850, while the number of its students today has reached more than 16 thousand students distributed among 23 modern academic programs, which were designed to keep pace with the requirements of the local and regional labor market.

Dr. Kandil explained in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: The university includes a distinguished elite of faculty members from various specializations, which gives it great scientific and academic strength that contributes to preparing graduates capable of competing locally and internationally.
Qandil pointed out that the university continues to complete various administrative and construction equipment, in addition to working to develop the administrative structure and enhance its efficiency, stressing that the National University relies in part of its cadres on graduates of the public university from the first batches, in a way that strengthens the unity of the Helwan University system and achieves integration between the public and private universities.
