The security services at the Ministry of Interior are examining a video clip posted on the social networking site Facebook, of a person claiming to be a driver for the citizen transportation company Uber, and that he was subjected to an attempted robbery on the desert road in Giza.
Assault on an Uber driver
In the video, a person appeared with signs of assault. He said that he had accepted to give him a ride to two young men on Faisal Street, heading to the desert road. Upon reaching a road empty of pedestrians, the two young men began trying to assault him with white weapons, wounding him in several places, causing him to bleed in various parts of the body. Immediately after he resisted, some of the car drivers noticed the assault attempt and intervened, so that the two young men fled the scene.
