In its session yesterday, the House of Representatives approved the proposal for a law amending Article 277, first paragraph of Decree Law No. 46 of 2002 promulgating the Criminal Procedure Code, which includes extending the period of objection to the criminal order from 7 days to a month. The draft law aims to give the person against whom the criminal order was issued sufficient time to study the matter and determine whether he will accept the order or object to it through legal means.
