Renault and Dasia owners’ data stealing in the United Kingdom during a penetration process

The personal data of some owners, Renault and Dacia customers in the UK were stolen after an electronic attack.

According to the Auto Car website, an external authority equipped with data processing services was hacked, whose identity was not revealed, used by Renault in the United Kingdom, and the company confirmed that none of the Renault Group’s systems in the United Kingdom to penetrate.

The stolen data includes customer names, addresses, birth dates, gender, phone numbers, vehicle identification numbers and recording details, and Renault in the UK confirmed that no financial data or passwords are stolen.

In a statement, Renault confirmed that this incident was isolated, and it was contained by the supplied foreign authority.

She added: We work with her to ensure that all appropriate measures are taken.

Renault explained that all the concerned authorities have been notified, and no party or group has claimed responsibility for the penetration process so far.

The statement concluded by saying: We are currently communicating with all our affected customers, informing them of the electronic attack, and reminding them of being careful with any unwanted requests to obtain their personal information.
