Over the past 24 hours, Qalyubia Governorate witnessed several events, the most prominent of which was the decision of the competent investigation authorities in Qalyoub to authorize the burial of the body of a young man who was killed by Fakahani and his son in the Qalyoub Police Station in Qalyoubiya, following a quarrel between them due to him quarreling with one of their relatives, following the receipt of the autopsy report and criminal investigations into the incident and its circumstances and the question of the eligibility of the deceased.

Major General Mohamed Al-Sayed, Director of the General Department of Investigations in Qalyubia, and Major General Wael Al-Metwally, Head of Investigations in Qalyubia, received a notification from Lieutenant Colonel Hossam Al-Husseini, Chief of Investigations at the Qalyoub Center, stating that a quarrel had occurred between two parties in the Umm Bayoumi area, which resulted in the death of a young man from a gunshot wound.
Investigations concluded that a verbal altercation broke out between the victim, Attiya. A., 22 years old, unemployed, was killed by a fruit merchant and his father, residing in the Umm Bayoumi area, which developed into a fistfight, during which the accused took out a firearm from the folds of his clothes and fired a shot that struck the victim, killing him instantly, due to previous disputes between them.
After codifying the procedures, the center’s investigation officers were able to arrest the accused, and under his guidance, the weapon used in the incident was seized.
Expanded campaigns on the new crossing to remove building violations
The New Obour City Development Authority, headed by Engineer Mahmoud Murad, also launched an extensive removal campaign targeting a number of encroachments occurring within the Ahmed Orabi Association, within the framework of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, on the necessity of imposing the prestige of the state and resolutely confronting any violations or encroachments on agricultural lands.

The Licensing, Development and Security Departments participated in the campaign, under the insurance of the Construction Police, where illegal buildings and occupancies erected without a license on plots of land were removed, after exhausting all legal procedures and sending multiple warnings to the violators without response.

The competent investigation authorities also renewed the imprisonment of the accused of possessing and distributing narcotic powder in the city of Banha, Qalyubia Governorate, for a period of 15 days pending investigations, after he was caught red-handed in possession of large quantities of the narcotic substance before distributing it among young people.
