Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Basketball Federation, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the 3×3 World Basketball Tour “Masters” competitions on the 21st and 22nd of next November represents a new milestone in the Kingdom’s successes in hosting and organizing major international sporting events, and reflects the prestigious position that Bahrain now occupies on the global sports map.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed said that the organization of this major global event, which is being held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, confirms the great confidence that Bahrain enjoys with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and represents the culmination of the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to enhance its presence in the international sports scene.
The President of the Bahrain Basketball Federation pointed out that this year’s edition is of special importance because it is the final leg of the global tour series that began last April and traveled to many cities and capitals around the world, bringing the curtain down on the 2025 season in the heart of the capital, Manama. He explained that this international confidence reflects the organizational successes achieved by Bahrain in the previous two editions of the global tour.
He explained that the tour will be held in the North Harbor area near the Financial Harbour, which received great praise from the International Basketball Federation during the past two editions, making it a preferred location to host the event for the third year in a row, adding that the Supreme Organizing Committee, headed by His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, is working to invest in the event to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain and strengthen its position on the global sports scene.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed confirmed that the tour will witness the participation of the most prominent 3×3 teams in the world and its activities will be broadcast through international channels to various countries of the world, noting that the event will be accompanied by the organization of a local championship, in addition to a Gulf women’s 3×3 championship, in a step aimed at expanding the base of the spread of the game and enhancing community participation.
He also noted that the organizing committee has allocated a comprehensive entertainment area for fans that combines sporting, cultural and family activities, which contributes to providing a distinguished public experience and enhances the tourist and public presence in this global event that game fans around the world are anticipating.
