Lebanese President: Israel continues its military pressure on Lebanon

Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun expressed his concern about Israel continuing to send military and bloody messages aimed at putting pressure on Lebanon, as he referred to the bombing of bulldozers and excavating machines in the Al-Musaylih area, which occurred last Saturday, as clear evidence of the ongoing aggressive Israeli policy, at a time when Lebanon is committed to the agreement reached last November, which highlights the growing tensions in the region.

A call for international intervention

During his meeting with the Economic Journalists Association headed by Sabine Owais, President Aoun called for American and French intervention to prevent Israeli attacks, expressing his hope that Israel would commit to stopping military operations against Lebanon and starting the path of negotiation, according to what the National News Agency in Lebanon reported, which reflects the urgent need for international support under the current circumstances.

The importance of dialogue and negotiation

President Aoun stressed the importance of dialogue as a means to achieve peace and stability in the region, noting that Lebanon had previously negotiated with Israel under American and international sponsorship, which resulted in an agreement to demarcate maritime borders. He stressed the necessity of repeating this model to find solutions to the outstanding problems, since the war did not lead to positive results. He pointed out that Lebanon cannot be outside the existing path in the region, which is a path "Crisis resolution"Stressing that more war, destruction and displacement can no longer be tolerated.
