The activities of the first session of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence were launched a short while ago, with ministerial participation that includes Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications, and Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor. The session is moderated by Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Advisor to the President of the Republic and former Minister of Planning.
In this context, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said that artificial intelligence is part of the development of human development programs implemented by the state, noting that artificial intelligence began in the 1950s and there is a journey it has gone through over the past decades, but artificial intelligence in 2025 is a milestone.
Study programs for artificial intelligence
Abdel Ghaffar added that humans have come to view artificial intelligence like electricity and cannot live without it, stressing that artificial intelligence will not replace humans, but humans must be able to deal with artificial intelligence.
Khaled Abdel Ghaffar confirmed that there is preparation for the presence of study programs for artificial intelligence in basic education beginning at the age of 6 years, indicating the importance of having study programs in all colleges specifically for artificial intelligence.
