The Civil Protection Forces in Port Said Governorate, led by Brigadier General Abdullah Saada, Director of the Civil Protection Department, were able to control a fire that broke out on the balcony of one of the residential units in the 5,000 residential unit area in the Zohour neighborhood, and saved the property from an imminent disaster after flames suddenly escalated from the balcony.

Immediately upon receiving the report, fire engines moved to the site of the fire. The fire was rising intensely from the balcony and began to spread to the upper floor. The forces immediately sent two fire trucks and used modern chemicals to contain the fire and control the flames before it spread to the rest of the property.
The forces succeeded in carrying out a heroic act in rescuing a boy and a girl from inside the burning apartment, and getting them out safely before the fire reached them. The fire brigades also worked to cool the fire site to ensure that it did not ignite again or smokes escalated.

The security services in Port Said Governorate received a report about the incident, and a team was formed from the Criminal Investigation Department to determine the causes of the fire and prepare the necessary report, with the investigation authorities carrying out their legal work.
