The city of St. Catherine in South Sinai is characterized by many high mountains, such as: Mount Catherine, Mount Musa, Mount Naaja, Mount Abbas, Mount Tarbush, and many other mountains that are loved by mountaineering and adventure enthusiasts.

Mount Al-Naja in St. Catherine is distinguished by its bright white rocks, reaching a height of 1,980 metres. It is located within a group of mountains in the region known to climbing enthusiasts, and is famous for its mountain trails that attract athletes.
The reason for giving this name
Bedouins and tribesmen call it the “Ewe” mountain because of its white color, which resembles the color of a female sheep, and is relatively different from the color of the surrounding mountains, which tend to be brown. How to get to Mount Naja
Jabal Al-Na’ja can be reached via multiple paths, including a path that passes through the Jabal Jifa area, then Wadi Al-Zawatin and Wadi Tinah, until the balcony of Jabal Abbas Pasha.
The height of Mount Naja encourages the practice of climbing, as it is one of the favorite sports for most tourists and visitors in the city of St. Catherine.

The height of Mount Tarbush is 2,100 meters above sea level, and it is considered one of the most important tourist attractions in the city of St. Catherine. Mount Tarbush was given this name in reference to its formations, which formed its three peaks in the shape of a rooster’s crest or a rooster’s crest.
