On the second night of the festival, Medhat Saleh and Amr Selim, stars of Arabic music, appeared on the Nafoura stage

The activities of the 33rd Arab Music Festival and Conference, held by the Ministry of Culture, continue through the Cairo Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, where three concerts in parallel will be held at 8:30 pm on Friday, October 17.

On the Nafoura Theater, the star Medhat Saleh, with the participation of musician Amr Selim and the accompaniment of the musical band led by Maestro Ahmed Amer, presents an interlude that includes a group of his own works that he presented over the course of his extended artistic career, preceded by a segment by opera stars Asmaa Kamal, Hossam Hosny, Farah Al-Mogy, and Kenzi.

The Republic Theater will host a concert by the star Sohaila Bahjat, accompanied by the Umm Kulthum Arab Music Ensemble, led by Maestro Dr. Mohamed Abdel Sattar.

The activities extend to the city of Thaghr, where the Sayed Darwish Theater of Alexandria Opera will witness a concert by the star Nadia Mostafa, accompanied by the Arab National Music Ensemble, led by Maestro Hazem Al-Qasabgy, after a segment by opera stars Sameh Mounir, Ahmed Essam, and Alaa Ayoub.

The activities of the accompanying scientific conference will also open at ten in the morning in the Small Theater and begin with a speech by Dr. Sherine Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Scientific Committee. Then the first session begins and discusses the topic of the future of Arabic music in the era of artificial intelligence, with the participation of researchers Dr. Muhammad Khalif, rapporteur (Egypt), Professor Dr. Nabil Al-Darras (Jordan), Dr. Muhammad Al-Masmoudi (Tunisia), Dr. Moatasem Adila (Palestine), Dr. Khaled Al-Qallaf (Kuwait), and Dr. Ali Mamdouh. (Egypt).

The second session resumes at 12:30 p.m. and continues to discuss the same topic. Researchers Dr. Kifah Fakhoury (Lebanon – Jordan), Professor Dr. Youssef Tannous (Lebanon), Dr. Hani Ahmed Zewail (Egypt – America), Dr. Ahmed Al-Wasel (Saudi Arabia), Dr. Hussein Al-Ansari (Sweden), and Dr. Imad Al-Ghadamsi (Tunisia) participate in it.

The accompanying competitions will begin, which will be held on the small stage, including Dr. Ratiba Al-Hafni’s competition in Arabic singing for children for the age group from 6 to 12 years.
