The Director General of the Northern region municipality, Lamia Al -Fadalah, confirmed that the municipality is continuing to implement the field removal campaigns periodically to preserve the sustainable urban nature and the general civilizational appearance, stressing that preserving the general appearance and enhancing sustainability is a joint responsibility between the municipality and society, at a time when the northern region municipality implemented a campaign during which it removed dozens of random violations.
Al -Fadala said that any construction or occupancy that takes place without an official license is an explicit violation of the law, and the necessary legal measures will be taken, noting that the municipality will not tolerate the application of the law against violators, based on its keenness to ensure the integrity of the urban environment and the sustainability of the urban scene.
She explained that the northern municipality is keen to involve the people in the efforts to preserve a safe and clean environment, stressing that societal cooperation is an essential pillar of the success of the regulatory campaigns and achieving an attractive and sustainable urban environment for all. She added that the field inspection teams are constantly receiving the notes of the people in addition to complaints received through the “communication system”, and are dealt with immediately within an integrated plan for regulatory campaigns that aim to enhance commitment Urban systems and standards.
In this context, Lamia Al -Fadala revealed that the municipality carried out an expanded field campaign that resulted in the removal of dozens of violations and encroachments in a number of areas of the northern governorate, which included removing unlicensed random structures, violating umbrellas, barns and columns held without official licenses, were distorting the general view and hindering the movement in some locations.
She pointed out that this campaign comes within a strategic plan to enhance field control and implement the provisions of the Building Regulatory Law No. (13) of 1977, in a way that contributes to achieving the principles of urban sustainability and preserving the urban environment. Al -Fadala concluded by renewing its call to all citizens and residents of the necessity of adhering to the laws and regulations, and not to initiate any construction or construction work until after the official licenses are fulfilled, stressing that cooperation with the municipality A national responsibility contributes to achieving a clean and safe urban environment worthy of the northern governorate.
