North Korean missiles
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff explained on Wednesday that North Korea launched a ballistic missile towards the East Sea, at a time when US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled to visit South Korea on the occasion of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit next week, according to the South Korean News Agency.
This is the fifth time this year that the North has launched ballistic missiles. The last launch of this type of missile was on May 8, and this is the first missile launch carried out by North Korea since President Lee Jae-myung assumed the presidency of South Korea in early June.
