His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Nikos Christodoulides, President of the Republic of Cyprus, discussed – during a phone call – various aspects of cooperation and joint work, and the possibilities of enhancing them, especially in the economic and development fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples. The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, most notably the developments in the Middle East region and the agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing in this context the importance of the parties’ commitment to implementing it to end human suffering, and to allow relief aid to reach the residents of the Strip urgently and intensively.
