
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa participated in the “Tree Week” activities, in the presence of a number of His Excellency officials, where he planted a tree in Riffa Palace. On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the great importance of environmental initiatives, most notably Tree Week, as an essential pillar in supporting efforts aimed at preserving the environment and ensuring the sustainability of various natural resources in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him.
His Highness pointed out that community partnership represents an essential pillar of the afforestation plan. The community’s participation and adoption of environmental initiatives such as afforestation and following sound environmental practices contributes to continuing to enhance the pace of efforts being made in this regard. His Highness pointed to the community awareness of the people of Bahrain and their positive interaction with various environmental initiatives to represent an important element of success and thus support the efforts that would The desired environmental goals were achieved. His Highness was also briefed on the latest developments in the afforestation plan and the “Bahrain Qurm” initiative, praising the efforts made by all concerned parties and the role of community initiatives in supporting these efforts and enhancing their results.
His Highness also praised the dedication, responsibility and commitment shown by all individuals and institutions implementing the afforestation plan, including the plan to plant 3.6 million trees until the year 2035, which is appreciated and cherished by all.
