His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, received at the headquarters of the Economic Development Board in Bahrain Bay today His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.
His Highness the Minister of the Prime Minister’s Diwan welcomed His Highness the Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pointing to the importance of this visit, which represents an opportunity to learn about the experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in diversifying the economic base and enhancing the investment infrastructure, in light of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. May God protect him, noting that the Economic Development Board plays a pivotal role in implementing strategic and development plans aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was briefed on a presentation made by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, which included a summary of the performance of the national economy and the achievements achieved in the field of promoting growth and diversifying sources of income, the most prominent major development projects, and what has been accomplished in terms of promoting economic growth in accordance with the paths and aspirations of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, in addition to a review of the most prominent projects. The investment opportunities and competitive advantages that the Kingdom of Bahrain provides to investors, and what it represents as a major gateway to accessing the region’s markets.
Her Excellency Mrs. Nour bint Ali Al Khalif, Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of the Economic Development Board, also gave a presentation in which she explained the Council’s role as a central point of contact for investors, and through its efforts in strategic promotion and organizing events aimed at highlighting the attractiveness of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a regional business center. Her Excellency explained that the Council provides support and guidance to investors in the various stages of establishing their projects and expanding their activities within the Kingdom, benefiting from the competitive advantages that distinguish the business environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain and making it a preferred destination for local and international investments.
